1. National Natural Science Foundation of China. "Evaluation and Intervention Strategies of Households' Energy Consumption: A Social Experiment Study Based in China" Duration: 2015-2017. Role: Principle Investigator. Amount: RMB 220,000.00.
Abstract:
Households’ energy consumption accounts for a significant share in the total. It is essential to foster energy saving behaviors among Chinese households, given China’s ambitious goal of energy conservation and emission mitigation. This project aims at examining the effectiveness of four intervention strategies in promoting energy conservation, including information feedback, activation and demonstration, energy audit, and energy saving rewards, with the approach of social experiment. For a further step, we will discuss the role of energy saving attitudes, collectivism values, social norms, personal norms, and perceived behavior control in terms of mediating the connection between intervention strategies and actual behavior changes.
